I Am The Sorcerer King - Chapter 2

Aside from the fact that he’s literally been risking his life to run away from monsters which if he takes one misstep or trips up momentarily then that’s it, he just straight up dies. He does that 4 times a week and from what we’ve heard in the first chapter we can surmise that this a very high risk job with a massive fatality rate. He ONLY makes 5k a month for all of that and most of it gets eaten up by hospital bills because he has a mother who’s in a magical comatose state that would die without proper life support systems. Also, yeah they are regular machines but you also fail to realize from what MC said that this disease has affected many people, meaning hospital beds are likely just going to cost a lot because of the mass of demand in them. I’m sure there is a massive waitlist for any hospital bed to admit some other patient whos likely struggling to live day to day whos being taken care of by if their lucky family or a good friend who’s taking the time and money to make sure they don’t die. On top of that honestly not likely that absurdly expensive considering what US hospital rates are like even in todays society not to mention what it would be like in a magical monster apocalypse. So yeah, a really crappy situation that he’s in.
