Since we are actually dealing with near c speed, we can use e=mc^2 simplification rather than the full equation.
Rod from God were planned to be about 10 tons.
E=10,000kg * (1.5 * 10^8ms^-1)^2
E=10,000kg * (2.25 * 10^16m^2s^-2
E=2.25 * 10^20 J
That’s 225,000,000,000,000,000,000 J

As a reference, the Tsar Bomba was 2.43 * 10^16 J
The dinosaur extinction meteor was 1.15 * 10^23 J

So somewhere in between. Localized on a point the size of a fist. This is tectonically significant.

I want to give a warning to any budding sorcerers reading this!
Warning! 50 tons of of tungsten, and more importantly, hurled at a velocity of half the speed of light, would destroy the entire world! Meteorites that nearly killed all life on the planet in the past, moved at far, far slower speeds.
