I would have liked to see a little of the training. But now that I think about it, it would have been filler. I had forgotten about the main goal and that this basically happens in a game timeline, it has to reach those times at some point in the manga.
So the time jump is perfect, I like it. And the SCHOOL arc is coming, I hope it gets more interesting from here
