Summary
A brief description of the manhwa I Became a Mage in a Medieval Fantasy World:
“Ian Raven, you are… nothing.”
In a medieval fantasy world, a boy named Ian is reincarnated as the son of an ordinary farmer. Just as the status window declared, Ian lived a life as “no one.” Then one day, the mage Elendis appears before him. And for the simple reason that he “has black hair mentioned in a prophecy,” she takes Ian in as her disciple. After six years of harsh training, Ian finally sets out on an adventure as a mage.
But this medieval fantasy world is far more complicated than it seems! He shudders at its outrageous standards of hygiene and grows angry at the unfathomable selfishness of people. From a boy who was nothing, to a mage who will change the world— This is the chaotic adventure story of Ian, a mage in a medieval fantasy world!

The story is very fast paced barely lasting a chapter for an entire arc, the characters dont grow, and the MC only shows hesitancy towards death after killing a lot of people directly and in directly, and also healed them before they died and had no emotional impact afterwards, and the character who nearly died and we are supposed to care for only appeared for 2 chapters and dissapeared with no warning.
in short, its a pretty average power fantasy with low object permenance
This is not bad, however it is weirdly all over the place
It is too fast pace in terms of developing character relationships, and it is weirdly slow paced at uninteresting points in the story.
The MC is not brain dead, but he is pretty stupid. However every other character makes decisions and choices that are more akin to NPC’s following a story train track than actual people, so he appears artificially smart in comparison.
The beginning starts somewhat interesting but quickly devolves into basic and bland fantasy stuff.
The dialogue is a bit clunky and overbearing and can sometimes lead to feeling likes its dragging the plot.
The art is decent, but the worldbuilding isn’t really all there.
However, it’s not horrifically bad unlike some stuff I’ve read.
It has some interesting elements, such as way magic is portrayed, the magic council’s, and the “mysteries” that are in this world.
I’d recommend waiting until it has like maybe 40ish chapters and maybe it’ll pick up on its good elements.
I’d give it like, a 6.2-6.7/10 so far. Not horrendous, but there are definitely better stuff in this genre you can read, but it is currently readable.
It’s not good it’s not bad, the MC is a bit lacking, he acts like a stereotypical Isekai shonen MC, the power system is extremely versatile in potential however I doubt that the author has thought of it that far, considering that the renowned white wolf mercenary somehow was less impressive than a basic foot soldier, also all the side characters may be suffering from a damaged frontal lobe
Its interesting just sad that all the common people are kinda retarded
Nice concept nothing amazing but still fun
It is fine to read, cant judge much yet, feels bit stagnant at moment.
Not a horrible story, pretty standard isekai.
Lesssssssssss goooo, its finaly here, i have read the novel, and the story was AMAZING
A sloppy resume: GOD HAVE HER FAVORITE ONE!
I book mark it LOL
Story is generic. Mc development is not good. The godess arc is cool. The drake arc is stupid. Mc is used to solve everything. I can say for sure that it’s sometimes good and sometimes not.
Pretty good its kind of a unique way to use magic but the main plot is a bit generic but its still really fun so far to watch how he develops his magic in a unique way
So far decent, though there are a few chapters that the pages are doubled on themselves. (The chapter will end and then it’ll restart again before moving to the next chapter)
Just why the fk this type of mangas got published.
overall it’s all good and great

I probably will drop this soon as trough 24 chapters i have moments a lot that annoy me.
Like how all males are weak as heck. And that MC starts to make his harem as already have 2 females. It’s like so annoying to see medieval time era and then they have more OP females then males and mc will instantly find these females while have not even made first male friend. MC teacher is a OP female mage. The noble young women is weakling but still be part of the harem. And these females already show their thinking of sexual fantasies as that is the only thing female characters think in all of these comics. Seems like females in all the stories dont have any other reason to be a sexual element. All the apocalypse stories also have females characters who think about sex only even tough it’s end of the world and first priority of tough should be survival
