I Became A Part Time Employee For Gods - Chapter 13

This MC really annoys me:

• When he went to check on his mother, after defeating the Lizardmen, he didn’t even think about going to check if his mother was fine;
• He’s OVERBEARINGLY cringe;
• Now, if I understand correctly, he wants to feed an apple that grants immortality to his mother without asking for her consent. We should all know the dilemma of becoming immortal.

He is selfish, cringey and careless.
Most importantly, although these are all assumptions I’ve made reading the first 13 chapters, it seems every single character in this story is either; selfish, stupid, immoral, evil, or plainly morally wrong. If I’m guessing right, the blacksmiths won’t ever get an important role again whether it’s in character or plot development. Everything in this world exists to make the MC shine. If the story keeps going as thoughtlessly as it is now, there’s no hope for a good plot or anything other than a minuscule dopamine generation.
BUT I do think this has potential, maybe make these last statements a part of his character development, where he is forced to realize his moral compass may be wrong. He was the one showing the way to those in need before but even he needs some time to understand himself and temper his spirit and ideologies. It could also end up being a HUGE meta thing. But all of this is for the author to figure out.
Either way I’ll keep going for a few more chapters and see where it goes, though my hopes are slim.
