It was at the beginning but after reading this chapter I found that every single human in here is so damn stupid. Like literally dumb, so dumb that they are comparable to grade schoolers or even dumber. It’s impossible that the human species never encountered an AUSM even once in their time on space. That is just literally impossible never having such contingencies for a specie like AUSM and IF they never had encountered one they could easily smoke the alien form out instead of going inside the vents. They could literally just close most of the vent and trap it in one corner but nope they just went ahead and be the dumbest being on the universe.

So based on last panels – soldiers in the vent did hit him, it just that his carapace takes little damage from it. Flight attendants and on submarines afaik small caliber weapons are used to not damage outer hall. Makes sense that “in space weapons” are only meant to combat weak fleshy humans

Why are the guns just a 3D model. I get that it’s hard to draw guns, but they could also just outline the gun and use that instead of a out of place 3D model.
