Hmmm, this is disturbing. Why would the Emperor be interested in the 3rd Prince? He should be more than able to command the information out of the 2nd Prince to know what is happening at the Border Fort. So why the sudden interest? They would know Ash is busy keeping it afloat. Either to have a word about his gamble to get those reinforcements or courtly intrigue has caused problems again. My one theory could be to have Ash help speed up the war between the Empire and the other nation so he can have those resources and manpower he so desires. We shall see what is the case.
I’m not getting my hopes up, the author already bungled political writing twice. I’m betting Ash bullshits his way and doesn’t even step in the airship (step in to go home that is).

I dont like this escalation story wise. I’m sure the whole Imperial politics in the background prolly got like a 2 paragraph summary in the game manual. There’s absolutely no context on whats going on in the rest of the world/empire since thats way beyond the scope of the original game. So the whole threat of recalling him, we already know is bunk, as that essentially ends the story.
