It’s amazing how many people don’t know what a hexagram is. They see the star and think “ISRAEL!”, even though it bears only superficial similarity to the Star of David.

As the swastika for nazis, the 6 edge star existed well before the jews chose to keep it for themselves. It has even been a christian symbol at a time in first christian centuries.
