The treatment of Damien in this manga is really stupid: All he needs is three or four people to reload weapons and give them to him. Then he never needs to reload. Crossbows fire 1 – 3 bolts a minute. That is pathetic. If he had 3 people with him, he could fire 10 bolts a minute at least.
