So the dual effect of 50% means that the shields abilty blocks 80% of attacks while the shield itself can block up to 40 dmg. So an attack of 100 dmg (which is high because the ssr lance only does 40) does not even phase her. Then she turns around and uses up the saved damage of lets just say 30% so 30dmg plus the 35 of lance = 65 a hit. and if she hits weak point then its around 85 a hit. She can now solo bosses by herself. other than her clumsy stat that will not allow her to hit weak points but she can take literally any attack from now on.

what is strange is that the npc are able to come to the surface, given the piper appearance during las stage. And Mu-myung having this kind of discount with the perfect set for evangeline is pretty suspicious imo.
Well maybe she’s genuinely trying to help them. With aider hints so far it seems there are people or entities working in the shadow to either save or destroy the world. So I hope she’s a good one !
ok this might be a spoiler but my prediction might be the final boss the crying princess that they showed at the beginning that may be why shes not a well known npc 
My own theory (No clue if its true) but I feel like the names of the boss monsters could be the names of previous ‘challengers’ (Like the people who can to stop this world like retrotaku)
