Boss monster locked in final stage?
Emperor who locked himself in his home?
Citizenz that think they are monsters?

Monsters speaking as if they were humans with regrets?
Oh yeah and this City looks exactly the same as the “Everdark” empire capital city?
The emperor stays locked up in solitude no one knows what he’s doing?
Call me crazy but I think this Lake City is some kind of reflected underworld of the Everdark capital city.
The people sound like people from the capital of the empire. Turned monster.
The empire is called Ever Dark. Which perfectly describes the City under the lake.

form what i see now i think this city was once a human city then something like black rain turned them into monsters
I don’t know why I have a feeling the monsters where at some point in time human or at the very least lived in peace and harmony but that all changed when the fire nation attacked. 
anyways for real tho I believe that the “black rain” caused the inhabitants of the magic kingdom to become monsters kinda like what happens to the people that lived in the city of Yharnam from blood born, but instead of being transformed by the blood they where transformed by the rain
now I know that the blood and rain are two different things but I believe that like the blood from blood born coming from the gods this black rain also came from some god/ entity and was the catalyst of the transformation of the kingdoms citizen into monsters because honest to God I can’t think of another reason as to why the hell they would give the boss monsters’s flashbacks
what do you guys think
MC just casually tell his team that someday the entire kingdom will attack the human world
The fight felt a bit anticlimactic, but I guess it’s an ok boss fight for a side mission.
Getting annoyed he doesn’t rotate out an infinite number of groups to clear the lower levels to farm xp and loot
