So potential is fixed in place in this world, except for people like Stardust? So the MC will never be able to go beyond the limits of his own Rank, if it’s A Rank like they estimated it in the first place?
I mean, technically, you don’t need to physically stop a plane motionless midair to make it land safely, especially if the hydraulic controls and the auxiliary generator are still functional. You just need to provide enough speed/lift to keep the plane above its stall speed, and the pilots can assist with bringing the plane in for a landing.
In this method, the plane’s center of mass would be somewhere around or just behind the wing mounts, but if you were only interested in raising the nose of the plane, the hero might substitute themselves for the front landing gear.
Starting to theorize that the girl who gave him the coke is Stardust. Just a version of her from an alternate future that came back with no powers to be with the MC who helped her. MC likely died in that future if I am correct.
