heres the thing writers; are your zombies magical or not? because if its just a mind virus, then it doesnt mean they are infinite. the human muscles will eventually atrophy with no nutrients. it means, old zombies with no nutrients are basically like withered reed. brittle and snappable. everyone always writes them as these infinite energy, imperivous to damage, type of monsters. that means they are magical.
writers, nearly all, have lazily combined and confused zombies with the lore of mummies.
and its pithy but also comical.
28 days and 28 weeks later, correctly wrote them, if diseased, as able to burn out and die after that month. the virus stays dormant, but the body dies. so you wait.
roaming hordes of super fast super strong impervious zombies after decades of an apocalypse is using the ‘mummy’ lore; magic, no virus.
