I think the author realized the first 2 girls were unbearably bad characters, so he made Wendy and Shiro who have both very similar appearances to the first 2 but are better overall. (I.E. bigger tits and a more fleshed out background, and a cute, calm cat instead of an annoying, loud dog that bites its owner)
