This entire proposal is mind-bogglingly irrational. I could not write a more crazed, unbelievable idea to resolve this situation if I tried.

If the MC was more aware and intelligent, this situation would have never occurred.
He read the letter, he saw her frustration and anger, he knew the 2 were out on a quest to make money. He was basically asking for it by choosing the dumbest decision.
He could’ve shut his trap and waited for those 2 to come back to sort things out before revealing that he is the person she was aiming to kill. Or, explain the situation from a bystander’s POV, as to discreetly divulging the fact that the slavery contract is a type of debt contract and that the owner hasn’t laid a had on her two friends (all while keeping his identity hidden).
I hate MC with a passion.
There justice system is kinda fucked up if they can over look attempted murder with a bet…what the actual fuck how does a Japanese person have this mindset isnt one of the greatest things about Japan besides manga and anime is it’s law and order
