Is it just me or is he using double spear like dual swords? He isn’t even using his the techniques he prized so much that he learned and relearned from his teacher, he’s not even poking around but brandishing them like blades.
It should not work against and immortal army as it only have high threat status because of the range of motion but if even one of em manage to hold/pull one of the spear his structure would fall instantly. After all, spears have long non-threatening shafts.
