Baldur was an Aesir God called ‘the blessed one’ he could not be harmed and had a magnamic personality that EVERYONE adored. Literally a golden boy.
He had a single weakness, a literal Achilles heel. Mistletoe was deadly to him, because it was a plant that ‘could bear no I’ll will’. It was like a chink in the perfect armor crossed with an allergic reaction.
The gods often gathered to throw and shoot weapons at Baldur in what had become a bit of a running gag that Bladur also enjoyed. Loki disguised an arrow made of mistletoe and mixed into the quiver of Baldur’s brother. That was the death of the most beloved Norse god.
