I’m surprised we haven’t seen the mc learning lower tier spells this whole time without the need of cards. Like the guy still has a 97% aptitude so seeing him learning spells that the other mages have been learning would have been pretty nice to see. Realistically he only really needs the blank cards for unique spells.
