He bought a shitty phone when he could have paid less for a superior phone. Then he goes for a laptop instead of a desktop, which means paying more for less capable hardware… again. It isn’t hard to build your own system, but even the prebuilts are better than laptops, and I don’t think he needs the portability.
I thought this guy upgraded his intelligence stats? So much for that.
