What I understand : after smashing the hourglass the MC was able to go back in time in the form of the demon thing that the kid see in his dreams and try to help the original owner of his body by telling him what happens in the futur and giving him some of his power (like when he kill the strategist lady)

Thanks to that he dosn’t seems to be broken by learning the truth behing his father and the cult (so no drugs, no prostitutes and so on) and at the same he also learns about the MC identity and realise that he will die in the cave if he follow the script, so he chose to do things his own way.

The authors says that this is the second arc so i guess the original his not coming back soon if ever and this will last at least another 80 chapter like arc 1
