The father figure certainly played a significant role in shaping her experiences in her past life. It might be wise for her to distance herself from the Prince as well, unless the author intends for them to end up together. It’s interesting to see how often stories portray women as overly timid and overly reliant on men, rather than showcasing their strength and independence. Exploring strong, self-reliant female characters would add much more depth to the narrative!
