It was well established the MC is basically unbeatable. So they use this to raise the tension in the fight and give him a reason to lose. Is it dumb? Yes. It looks like the author decided to have him hide his “true ability” again so he can demonstrate even more power later.

I have seen SO many guys get their asses kicked at fights, because their useless little arm-fluff skanks run in in the middle of a fight, and then frikkin LATCH ON to their dominant arm, and I mean arms and legs, and hold him still for the other guy to commence wailing away on the hapless boyfriends’ head and chest, laughing all the while. The last time that happened, I trailed in behind the one(I knew her from school when I went in for the gym class) And clipped her one right behind the ear, just enough to drop her gently. Her BF ducked the shot his opponent took, and then frikkin DECKED him. Then mouthed T.Y Elly at me, lol. He dumped her a couple days later. Good on him. She was a cow anyway.
Wtf is with this chapter ending why did she interrupt the fight
