This reminds me of that concept in The Prestige – you’ll know the one if you’ve seen the film (the stooping old man)
But other than that, I find it strange that his “real” self could cause any controversy – his past life seemed to be as ordinary, unremarkable and non-controversial as they come i.e. just a boring loner, by the looks of it, no scandalous episodes with any women, no bullying or substance abuse record of any kind. Why would anyone even give a sh!t??
