I feel like the comment section became an rpg selection menu:
– flee
– fight
I’ll just write my thoughts down.
The messenger didn’t know about the soldier who decided to take a few of the workbeasts as he was the one who asked what that loud sound was. The reason why he yelled “don’t move” was most likely because MC didn’t say anything, just ran away.
In my opinion, he won’t flee, but won’t be going to war/kill the noble house/aso. I think he’ll try to reason with them… or with another noble family. At least, that’s what I hope, because running away won’t solve anything and going offensive will only make him an enemy for all the nobles around (and if he wins, even more so…).

Build up a moat and increase village defenses. Recruit and arm the villagers with technologically advanced weaponry. He could even make saddles, stirrups, and armor for the valkyries and train riders.

I don’t feel their is much they can do against the mc. Obviously they want the land and resources he produces but damaging him or laying down unfavourable conditions he can just leave and greatly empower someone else (potentially a rival noble or country endangering the nobles that have a right to this land). Also I assume the mc can just destroy all the buildings similarly to how he made them storing the plans in his spell list to recreate them after the nobles leave.

Listen up. Either let them take everything and you either become a slave or get executed, or kill anyone that wants to take away the fruits of your labor, one at a time, until they leave you alone or they are dead themselves. Now’s not the time to be a generic Japanese MC.

When you try and steal everything a merchant has and then discover its a mage… the end of many characters in rpg’s.
