Development with the local to consider is humane. My university also does it. They don’t go full tech just because there’s still a local who apply to do and can do the manual job.

Sooo…. rotting trees are one of the best thing for a forest and one of the worst thing we do nowadays is remove dead trees, cutting a huge chunk of the ecosystem (ofc, its balanced by forest fires in some places, but, a), those are more extreme due to what we do and b), they are equally needed for the health of forests).
