Sooo…. rotting trees are one of the best thing for a forest and one of the worst thing we do nowadays is remove dead trees, cutting a huge chunk of the ecosystem (ofc, its balanced by forest fires in some places, but, a), those are more extreme due to what we do and b), they are equally needed for the health of forests).

Development with the local to consider is humane. My university also does it. They don’t go full tech just because there’s still a local who apply to do and can do the manual job.

He isn’t even flooding the market with lumber. He buys lumber from the lumberjacks too. Stupid lumberjacks. He also needs the logs to rot in order to cultivate mushrooms and he cleared the land to grow food and fix the starvation problem in the village. I also find it silly that his brother’s name is baito which means “part time job” in japanese.
