I would have worked with a lawyer to update the will so that people can be given some amount of the money by entering a passcode or something on a website. It could be something like an encrypted(with some password) unabridged copy of The Picture of Dorian Gray, or some book about an immortal, or perhaps an encrypted list of the names of the doctors of Doctor Who that correspond to the remaining lives he has, etc. Alternatively, I could try setting up a scavenger hunt only I could solve in the will, or try something tricky like that instead.
As I would have no way of knowing when death would come, I’d bury some money first, though.
