WTF is going on,??? the story isn’t going anywhere,and wtf is up with the names “mr cotton”,”duke slave” seriously 9 chapters in and all we get is fking icecubes and author hinting us how blk ppl used to be slaves and worked in cotton field
I just get this disturbing feeling that this story isn’t going anywhere. It starts off alright, and I’m sure there are consequences for mutilating a noble’s kid, but I still think, “Yeah, the noble gets accosted on his way out to get ice sweets? TF is even going on here? Is this a Willy Wonka spin off series?”
It’s the most unserious thing presenting itself as serious I’ve seen in a minute.
And of course the next 5 ch are going to be spent on training montages of the orphans, so that’s more pgs dedicated to possible side kicks when the MC has shown that he needs none.
You need to go through life and death situation just to taste an ice candy. Medieval is really a harsh place
