So essentially, in chapter 29, this guy invested his tuition money into stocks, but the stocks crashed, leaving him poor. Then the fortune teller robot apears in the alley he was in, told him to go to the convenience store since luck was on his side, he overheard a conversation there about some stocks, and he invested in they one, then he woke up to see those stocks inflate by 10x, his 1 million won (about $814 in usd) became 10 million won which is where we are now
