Gustave is a large male Nile crocodile in Burundi, rumoured to have killed as many as 200-300 people on the banks of the Ruzizi River and the northern shores of Lake Tanganyika. He is believed to be one of the largest crocodiles in Africa, stretching nearly 20 feet long and weighing approximately 2,000 pounds. Although the actual number of victims is difficult to verify, he has obtained near-mythical status and is greatly feared by people in the region.
