We are approching the final chapters its seems. It is at the same time sad that it will probably end in few chapters, but at the same time it was beautifull ride alongside these characters and i f0cking love every minute of it.
Hook, line, and sinker.

Boy this was like years in the making. Making Angenas more and more desperate, chipping away until this event.
And it is a biggun. I kind of feel bad for the Empress’s brother, lost his tongue and everything.
Masterfully done.
Perez has been building trust with the Emperor for such a long time, while the Lombardis and himself have been eroding the trust between Emperor and Angeas.
Had this gambit been done earlier, it could’ve easily been twisted that Perez poisoned the Emperor with the tea rather than the Empress with the wine. But because the Emperor has such trust in Perez he believes his story immediately, especially since his story pricks on the distrust he has for the Empress. The Emperor doesn’t hesitate to blame the Empress (rightfully so … in a way)
I was caught off-guard by just how well Perez had a handle on the situation.
Tia pulls the rug out from under Angenas financially, collaborating with Perez to cause strife that would make her act foolishly, while Perez endears himself to his father to undoubtedly officially declare him to be his successor, maybe even abdicating due to reasons of poor health…thanks to the poison. Meanwhile, the Empress is positively identified as the mastermind in the attempted murder of the Emperor, while commiting a further act of treason by attempting to have House Angenas troops occupy the Royal Palace.
Oh, happy day…
