I’m liking this series… kinda. I feel like they have a good thing going here. They have a good cast with diverse personalities and objectives…. but the premise feels… incomplete.
The only real bit of world building for the protagonist is that he’s a programmer, but that doesn’t factor in the slightest in his entrepreneurial and culinary objectives. Other than that, he’s about as plain as you can possibly get. He’s not even especially ambitious with his entrepreneurial activities. He just orders online or gets stuff from the local markets. He neither builds things from scratch, nor uses his own connections to achieve his ambitions.
I’m not suggesting the protagonist be some kind of superman of logistics or whatever… but I wish he brought something unique to the story.
