I seriously hate when authors do this. They establish that things like spices are super expensive etc. but then throw in huge clear glass drinking mugs like it was nothing. Those things would be worth a fortune and definitely not something you see in a normal inn, maybe in a high class place in the capital.
Also was there some sort of translation error in the first chapter when it said you can only go back and forth a couple of times, was it meant that until you sign the contract you have limited uses? The MC is using the gate to go and shower so he’s obviously not worried about how many times he can use the gate.
The subspace wallet or what ever he have can go with him to modern world so it should work to take gold out of it so it should also work to buy spices and load of it and then take it to that fantasy world where pepper is more valuable then gold.
To be honest i dont really understand how he can travel trough dimension when it was at first said that he can go only like 2 times back and forward and that be like 4 trips in total.
I hope it wont be about food only as that is so boring already.
