Understanding the reference is Super easy, barely an inconvenience.
Oh the dark past… The white haired girl… alright mystery solved, not like there was any to begin with actually.
MC is just the center of all attention, throughout the whole story he won’t realize how strong he actually is, even compared to heroes and we’ll constantly hear the same humor of side characters being surprised by his abilities.
Flashbacks left and right, and always important girls involved with his backstory.
I can’t wait for the surprises to come, I’m sure it’ll keep being so original.

He lack of remembrance seems intentional.
Might be a curse, or perhaps an amnesiac charm… or something pertaining to intense psychological trauma, disallowing him from recalling distant memories and experiences.
MC has clearly met all these girls and had a strong effect on their lives I thought he was pretending not to remember but now I’m not sure maybe he was so focused on his goals before he didn’t really take note of them and when he gave up he didn’t care anymore further blocking his memory
