A lot of juxtapositioning here. you have the girls chatting away in the hot springs, meanwhile in the guy hot springs MC is the ONLY one with scars. Maybe the healing magic removes the scars? that one girl is missing the one she had on her hand a few chapters ago. Really explains the difference between the two cultures of holy and dark.
Now my hunch, is that it’s a bloodline thing, and the reason for the discrimination is to keep the abilities from being watered down. MC IS a noble. he probably could order the peasants to kneel or give them their brides on their wedding day like Uday Hussein.
YET that’s not his personality. The holy students admit that he has an innocent mindset, and probably would make a stellar paladin. At the same time the school did accept him at the princesses’ recommendation, and he is respected by the teachers.

The first king probably used regalia to have legions of roided out dark knights which he used to fight in the race war with the elves and other things. Or the elves had holy power and teamed up with the humans dark knights to create roided dark knights but after stomping everyone else humans got holy power themselves and they split
