He’s overthinking it lol, all he needed to say was that its a place where the customers can often be unpleasant people that she should avoid meeting, and he doesn’t want to risk her getting bad memories.

And in other circumstances and settings, brothels, especially as portrayed in many mangas, are where ordinary guys go for ‘entertainment’ with no stigma attached. Not many of their customers will be looking for hearts, flowers and a ‘happy ever after’.

Yes, there are those that buy buy physical affection because they are lonely and sad..
