Like I thought. Author made the assassin the ultimate victim and removed all resposibilty from her. Even made torre apologise. For what? You saw her once when you were a little kid with a wooden sword and only found out she was be abused years later post engagement.
Now about how he handled it after finding out? yeah he could have done better. At least met with her to give her or move her to your home under the pretex of being her fiance.
