Obviously the pacing on all of this chapter was wack but why didn’t Myla try to coax her more instead of immediately going for threats? Myla wouldn’t get any benefit from mc unless she decided to help (and Myla cut off any future gain she could’ve gotten from the mc) so that was a dumb approach. Also weird that she had no affection for this cute child she’s been raising for 5 years to the point she’d throw away a profitable and prestigious job for a one-time profit (and can anyone else even use these artifacts). It’s just a weird and forced moment of cartoonish villainy
