this reminds me of Sasuke and Itachi final battle, it gives the same vibes.
Relax everyone, Cruel will live. They ended it on a cliff hanger with him in danger but alive. No writer kills a character let alone a main character in the opening of a chapter.
So, hear me out. Deon made me pull my hair out here. He’s gone sickomode so many times in this story, and now he’s absolutely useless? Needs to be saved from arrows? All confused and not handling business? He was raised on the battlefield! He should know to handle the problem at hand, then worry about his thoughts/feelings/relationships. This chapter made Deon feel completely out-of-character just for the sake of emphasizing Cruel’s part, but it left it feeling flaccid.
