With the focus on fashion, I think it might be the green dye. And Princess Blanche’s room is full of green! In the 18th Century, Scheele’s green and later Paris green were arsenic based dyes that killed plenty. Arsenic was also used in makeup and other types of products and usually resulted in deaths.

is it the green ink? like what happens in the past where people find a new green colour but it was made with poisonous chems and ended up killing the workers and nobles that fancies the colour and stuff
