His people will probably start thinking something’s up, and move on their own. It’s not like Liam is hated at home, so I would guess an investigation into this switcheroo, a formal protest, and the noble in charge of this training camp will get a serious reprimand from higher up the food chain. Maybe even from the Emperor, since he holds Liam in such high esteem. And our interdimensional trickster will take a hit to his feeding yet again.
