Type 2 Diabetes is more about cells being full of energy, not so much due to insulin resistance.
If a bucket is full of sugar, you cannot put more sugar in it, no matter how much you signal to do so. But that’s a fairly recent viewpoint change. Science marches on.

Insulin resistance is due to all of the fat we consume, the fats gathers inside of it and cannot release Insulin normally although only a little bit otherwise it would be type 1 diabetes. Stooping eating greasy foods and animal products would resolve this issue in a couple months. For more info look up Dr. Neal Barnard and Dr. John mcdougall.
