It’s speeding everything up. It took two breaks to complete the challenge, and most of the victories came from the girls trying to get close to him, as he defeated some of the stronger classmates, everyone was sure they would lose. So the fan girls began lining up just to get hit by him.
It gets interesting in college.

the senior in middle school who tried to beat him up for ignoring the girl, and challenged him to a karate match will show up several times on a good note. He should appear soon, or they might skip it. His first appearance again should be soon, he changes his hair style so, people might forget who he was, if he does appears.
