why does everyone talk about the Fleet Admiral like its his fault that the fleet is like that when he literally just joined. In what way could he possibly be responsible for any of this?

I reflexively want to ask the same thing, but I already know that the answer is that people are easily lied to and easily deceived. More importantly people tend to believe that the lies they are told are truths they have figured out on their own… So, it’s difficult for most people to realize how completely ignorant and gullible they truly are. Thus, they remain ignorant and gullible. This is true in real life as well.
