I am guessing that in Eternal Nations the ‘commander’ isn’t a combat unit and isn’t allowed to be killed until the nation is destroyed. So he can’t be killed until Mynogra is destroyed.

RTS commanders don’t normally have unit stats so are technically immortal till the sides been wiped out, having one wandering round in a dice RPG is gonna be interesting.
i love the manga, but if you get the chance read the 6 light novels or the audiobook versions as they add SOOO much more to this arc,
now 3-4 months of depression for the next manga release
