Is he a total moron… we already know ‘glasses’ girl is ? They don’t want to go and live with new parents, they want to stay with him. Anyway, if he didn’t want to run the orpanage in the first place, he could have just left the country and not looked back.

Why exactly does a “goddess” need to be a foster child? doesn’t she live there? also isn’t lucia his slave and not a orphan? but yes i do think that the woman before has something to with this. and why does he think hes the most unsuited for the job? its the exact opposite

This is obviously related to the previous chapter when that god of death said she would eliminate the source of his power if he doesn’t need to protect them anymore she can kill him though if he had cared for them as more than a job then eliminating the source of his power would be impossible without killing them while he was away or something
