I think Drake should be the main character.
The worst part is that in the first chapters the MC has shown himself to be slightly intelligent, which would be expected to grow gradually as his responsibilities are increasing, but the opposite is happening: the more he, his nation and army grow, the dumber he becomes.

I like this Drake – he is probably the most shrewd person of all the chars (both good and bad)
