This is the first time it really bothered me that he realizes the guild collects information on trap rooms to save lives, he knows the location of a trap room that he thinks has claimed at least one life, and he decides to keep that to himself.
The MC in the novel is too flawed, he’s almost impossible to root for. I much prefer the manga version, who is flawed in ways I can relate to, even when I disagree with his decisions. He’s not a hero, he’s just a guy who is maybe kind of selfish, and it makes him so much more compelling.
