Weird how MC is still reluctant to pay a two silver toll when he has that magic crystal cheat for basically unlimited money, and doesn’t even use it. Either keep it always on or stop pinching pennies! Preferably both.

The price for the mirrors isn’t what it should be. The translations around the money have been wrong several times, but 35 silver coins should be 3500 nars. That’s a third of what Gozer thought the wholesale cost would be, and about a tenth of what the Dwarf Guide estimated the lowest retail price in Palmasque would be.
Gozer should be knowledgeable enough not to be that far off, for one thing. For another thing, if the Palmasque monopoly is really that strong, the wholesale price for an outsider making a single purchase should be higher. They mentioned that the price in the capital was “several times higher” than in Palmasque. That puts the low estimate of prices as well over 100,000 nars and going up from there. That means that the merchants who import the mirrors get almost the entire profit. What would be the point of having a monopoly if you don’t share in the profits? In fact, Gozer’s higher estimate of 20,000 nars would be much more reasonable as a wholesale price.
