I wonder which medical plant the MC was worried about. I doubt anyone in a medieval setting would care about marijuana. Given what little I know about ye olde medicine I would guess either coca plant (cocaine) or poppy flower (opium).

My bet is on Aconite, both a medicine and a poison in the ancient world, it is well known in modern fiction under its many synonyms. Plus in my experience Asians use illicit drugs much less frequently in fiction than in the west, given the draconian anti drug laws I can understand why.. How many times has anyone been isekai’d and done anything other than liquor, and maybe tobacco. If I was isekia’d I know I’d look for familiar foods, but I’d look for other things too, but maybe thats just me…
