I figured as much. Jobin, like any other wealthy, privileged, entitled person, wants to stay wealthy, privileged, and entitled. Living so that “every day is a Summer Vacation”. When you have the most money above all others, you’re threaten to become someone who feels like he should have the entire world on a plate. A plate of delectable fruits, if you will.

The Locacaca is just another opportunity to get even more wealth and status for him. His level of ambition for it is terrifying, rivaling P1/3 DIO and even Alternate Diego Brando. His having Stand powers probably adds to that ego. Wealth, AND Stand Powers. Even then, it’s not enough; since self-worth is strongly tied to how much wealth he has, it’s necessary to keep climbing higher and higher and make everybody else go to the bottom. As long as he benefits, he doesn’t care how many bodies have to be laid for it, though its’ not like at this point in the story yet, that he hasn’t shown that he’s without a bit of hesitation in doing reprehensible things. He doing what he does so that his family can be happy. Caato didn’t help things, basically setting him on this path when she killed that Bully from Jobin’s childhood.

I know that is a very one-dimensional read into this character, but that’s what I took away from this.
